The advanced practice nurse/mid-level provider (referred to as the Patient Navigator) provides a variety of services when delivering patient care

Currently employed Physician Assistants may also be considered for this position.

Duties and functions Patient Navigator but are not limited to:

Admission and discharge of patients
Diagnose, treat and manage patient care.
Provide expert clinical support and expertise.
Educate patients regarding their surgical experience, including how to prepare for the procedure and what to expect afterwards.
Coordinate patient care schedule
Prescribe required postoperative medications

Masters Degree (MS) or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) in an advanced practice nursing program or certified Physician Assistant Program with certification by ANCC, AANP or equivalent and current Minnesota licensure
Prescriptive authority
Experience in Orthopedics preferred.
