The Director of Revenue Cycle provides leadership and accountability for operational excellence of key Revenue Cycle administrative functions including, but not limited to, financial securing, check-in, charge capture, billing & follow up, collections and customer service. This position is responsible for optimizing the Revenue Cycle throughout the organization, with the goal of maximizing costs without compromising customer service.

Develop, implement, and manage efficient and effective operational policies, processes and best practices within the revenue cycle which includes: financial securing, charge capture, coding, billing, receivables management, collections and customer service.

Identify opportunities to leverage systems, processes, resources and other methods to minimize revenue loss, increase cash flow, and maximize efficiency within the Revenue Cycle.

Responsible for development and implementation of Revenue Cycle policies and procedures, training, and other tools to support the organization’s operating areas in improving overall revenue cycle effectiveness.

Responsible for facilitation and coordination of third-party payer negotiations.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies and third-party payers.

Responsible for developing, monitoring and communicating key performance indicators; works with managers to develop action plans to support substandard trends.

Act as the point of engagement for all revenue cycle system changes/enhancements and priorities; facilitates decision making with appropriate stakeholders.

Partner with organizational Leadership to establish objectives in line with overall strategic goals.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, finance or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Ten years in healthcare revenue cycle management, performance improvement or healthcare business operations.
