Under the direction of the Quality and Performance Improvement Manager, the Quality Improvement and Operations Analyst is responsible for data aggregation, reporting, and analysis of key clinical and administrative performance metrics. This individual will understand operational workflows and systems in order to effectively identify and interpret meaningful data to support the organization’s performance improvement initiatives. Working collaboratively with various internal departments and analysts, the Quality Improvement and Operations Analyst will be accountable for regular internal reporting and data file submissions to various external partners and regulatory agencies.

* Develops and performs regular reporting for various purposes and audiences on clinical quality metrics, surgical outcomes, patient experience, and other data as needed in order to inform and drive organizational improvements.
* Implements processes for data validation to ensure accuracy of all reporting.
* Execute and manage data feeds to various regulators, vendors, and other external partners to meet data sharing and regulatory obligations.
* Collaborates with various departments including operations, finance, information technology, and others to maintain databases and technical tools used for complete and accurate data collection and documentation.
* Maintains awareness of various workflows outside of the quality department to ensure proper interpretation of healthcare data.
* Works collaboratively with staff from various departments, disciplines, and levels of management to identify necessary metrics to determine opportunities for improvement, and participate in action planning to implement change.
* Assists in the support, research and development of policies, procedures, systems and processes that support and guide the department and organization.
* Educates staff, providers and leaders on how data are used to benefit the care and service provided.
* Support other quality projects through data auditing, process review, and other activities as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or healthcare related discipline required.

Three to five years of experience in healthcare with complex reporting or analytical process responsibilities required.

Experience with general healthcare operations and electronic health record systems desired.

Demonstrated project management experience.
