The Scheduling Supervisor will maintain the surgery centers staffing matrix, ensure staffing requirements of the surgery center are met. The Scheduling Supervisor will provide direction and oversite to casual call staff; monitoring compliance of scheduling commitments and assisting ASC mangers with the casual call staff annual review process.
The Scheduling Supervisor reports directly to the Nurse Director of the surgery centers. Works with Nurse Director and managers to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained and provides general administrative support to the management team in the surgery centers.
Oversite and maintenance of ASC staffing matrix, monthly staff schedules
Works with ASC managers to fill open shifts
Supervises surgery center casual call staff
Monitors casual call staffing commitments and assists ASC managers with annual review process.
Assists education coordinator in completion of required orientation and annual training of casual call staff
Communicates open shifts and reports staffing completion & updates to surgery center nurse director
Provides information regarding staffing requirements to staff and management. Reports issues and problems to ASC Nurse Director.
Provides staffing report to site manager regarding current schedule and staff needed for each shift.
Prepares agenda items for committee meetings as requests by the management team.
Attends committee meetings to record minutes and action items, as requested.
Provide administrative support, including composition, preparation, and distribution of routine correspondence.
Review and prioritize incoming correspondence, telephone calls, email communications, mail, and handling routine and high level requests.
Establish and maintain a variety of office filing and record-keeping systems.
Perform other related duties, as required and assigned by the ASC Nurse Director.

GED or high school diploma is required. Two years of post-secondary education is preferred.
Associate degree or higher preferred
Business administration assistant course work desirable
Previous experience with staff scheduling preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and activities, maintain deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Good interpersonal skills
Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, systems and objectives.
Knowledge of healthcare administration systems.
Basic understanding of medical terminology
Advanced computer literacy
Able to maintain extensive sitting, moderate standing, and full range of motion.
Ability to lift up to 15#
Basic CPR certification
Follows surgery center dress code
Immunization and or titers as required by the surgery center
