Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer supports the IT infrastructure and designs, installs, configures the servers, manages multiple virtual environments, and oversees enterprise storage arrays.

Manages projects and implements efficiencies in the IT Infrastructure.

Leads and mentors team members.

Assists in the design, implementation, and support of servers and systems used in both the office and clinical environments

Acts as an escalation point for tech support staff or others on various hardware and software issues

Assists in the implementation and administration of virtualization technologies and servers running Citrix and/or VMware

Participates in backup and maintenance of server hardware and software in an enterprise environment

Assists in the design of current server and storage systems

Develops and maintains documentation that will be shared with other team members

Works with other cross functional teams in the design and redesign of systems to fulfill the needs of the business

Communicates with other departments in reporting and resolving software, hardware and operational issues

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Microsoft, VMware or similar certification preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Windows 2008/2012/2016/WIN7/WIN10 enterprise environment.

Experience in the Healthcare field preferred.

* Strong knowledge of Citrix is desirable
* Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Domain Administration
* Experience with Active Directory including Group Policy
* PowerShell knowledge
* Backup and recovery experience utilizing enterprise level tools
* Solid SQL experience would be beneficial
* Microsoft Windows Clustering and Load Balancing Services
* Hands on VMware vSphere/ESXi experience required
* Experience with server hardware
* Patching security vulnerabilities on several hundred virtual machines
* Enterprise SAN/NAS storage experience (EMC, Nimble)
* Microsoft Exchange 2013/DAG Environment
* Enterprise voice and fax application experience a plus (3C, RightFax)
* Knowledge of Healthcare applications such as Practice Management and EMR
* Enterprise Mobility Management (AirWatch)
